:: itzbeen or journal? ::

Itzbeen Baby Timer - $34.99 at Dearborn Baby

Baby is almost here! Knowing that I will need to track a couple things (feeding, diapering, sleeping) in his first months I am trying to decide whether to get the Itzbeen timer or one of these great GlowBaby journals. Any advice from the seasoned Mommies out there?

honestly, we used a hilroy spiral bound notebook we had lying around. i'm not sure if the itzbeen allows you to customize what you record. for example, we were tracking time spent at breast and then volume of expressed milk given during the early (and very trying) days of breastfeeding. just something to consider!

Hmm,
tough call. Since I too am just preggers, I can't offer any advice, but I bought the Izbeen Timer. I figured in my sleep deprived state it would be the easiest. It is tiny! and easy to use. No looking for pen/pencil, etc. I think either idea is great.

I think I'd pick the journal. Then you can show your doctor or nurse if you need to and it makes a good keepsake. I found there was no way I was forgetting to feed or keep track of sleep. Maybe when we have a 2nd I'll need the alarms on the timer!

Journal! I bought the itzbeen and I didn't use it nearly as much as I thought I would. It's good for knowing when the last time you did a feed/change/etc was, but it doesn't store the information, so you can't see if there are any changes or anything. I did like the nightlight and timer features though.
